What is loosely referred to as the Oneness Movement is, in reality, a series of interconnected and yet independent affiliates of the Oneness University in India. The affiliates exist in numerous countries, nearing 50 in all. Oneness Centre UK & Ireland in Penninghame House is one of them.

What is unique about this movement is that it is not a religion, nor is it a particular spiritual path or set of religious beliefs. Sri Bhagavan and Sri Amma have repeatedly said they are not interested in forming a new religion. They are simply here to perform their divine mission of helping move humanity into an awakened state of Oneness.

People following this movement come from all walks of life, all nationalities, all races, all religions and all spiritual paths. No attempt is made to "convert" a person's religion, nor is there a need to adopt a particular set of shared beliefs. People are free to continue with whatever religious, spiritual or atheistic path they were on before. What is common amongst followers of this movement is their own personal experience(s) after having received the grace and benediction of the Oneness Blessing. It is these experiences, often times profound, that creates an inner calling for people to want to share this with others. Each day the Oneness Blessing is given to thousands of people all over the world. Ultimately, this sharing will usher in a new age of consciousness worldwide, what Sri Bhagavan terms "The Golden Age."

The Oneness University world headquarters is located in the town of Varadaiahpalem, India, spreading over a few thousand acres from the hills of Ubbalamadugu to the banks of the Pulicat - India's second largest salt water lake. Varadaiahpalem, located off the Grant Trunk Freeway is 80 kms north from the city of Chennai (formerly called Madras). This is also the land of the Golden City, the "Oneness Temple" and currently hosts all the Oneness University campuses.
